Did you know there are at least 10 ways to prepare tomatoes - and that is just the diced ones? From sauces to salsas, this class covers the basics of preserving your garden-fresh tomatoes through water bath canning basics. Participants will take home a jar of your freshly canned tomatos and the knowledge needed to continue your canning adventure on your own. Ages 16 & up. Instructor: Amber Lounsbery

Bridge Basics for Beginners: Start from scratch and learn the most fascinating of card games. Begin with basic trick taking, hand evaluation, bidding strategies and fundamental conventions, declarer play, and defensive strategies. Learn to enjoy a game that will develop your basic math skills, critical thinking, courtesy, teamwork, logic and deductive reasoning skills. Learn a new game that will intrigue you for the rest of your life as your skills grow through the endless combinations and outcomes. Learn, compete, and grow as every hand provides a pathway to the solution of a new puzzle. 16 & up. Bridge - Building Beyond the Basics:Build on biddings to include: stayman and transfers responses to opening bids, take out doubles and responses, negative doubles, weak two openings and responses, Jacoby 2NT raises and responses, strong opening bids and asking for aces. A basic knowledge of these bidding conventions and treatments will provide you the edge you need to win! Prerequisite: Beginner class (or working knowledge of trick taking card games like pinochle, whist, spades, or euchre). Ages 18 & up. Instructor: Randy Amundson
