Above all, learn the art of keeping children safe and content while in your care! Option to bring a snack and drink. Ages 11-15. Develop grace, strength, and relaxation with belly dancing! Practice simple relaxing moves - think part belly dance and part hula inspired graceful movements! Learn to add lovely, gracious flowing scarf and finger cymbals to your flow. These low-impact dances improve posture, strengthen your pelvic and deep abdominal muscles, gently tone your entire body, promote flexibility, and balance. They also make you feel amazing! This is a nice gentle movement course for all ages (not an intense shake your tail feather class). Youth-Gain knowledge and confidence in this fun and educational class focusing on Hula, the storytelling dance of Hawaii; while also exploring a variety of other Polynesian dances, Hawaiian words, and interesting facts about the islands! Hula is known for its simplicity and joyfulness, while the body movements are fun to perform and serve to improve the brain-body connection with great mental and physical benefits! Come dance and share in the spirit of aloha! Hula skirt included. Ages 6-15. Adults- Aloha. Flow through gentle basic Hula steps and story-telling choreographies of Hawaiian and Polynesian culture. Learn Hawaiian words and their pronunciation as you allow the inspiring series of Hula sessions to instill in you the spirit of Aloha and strengthen the mind/body connection.
