Looking for a workout that is creative, challenging, and completely different from a traditional gym class? Intro to Aerial Silks gives you the opportunity to explore the exciting world of aerial arts while building strength, confidence, flexibility, and coordination in a supportive and beginner-friendly environment.
Using two long aerial fabrics suspended from the ceiling, students will learn foundational aerial silks techniques including wraps, poses, beginner climbs, inversions, and simple aerial sequences. You’ll begin low to the ground while safely learning body awareness, grip technique, and aerial conditioning before progressing into more advanced movements in the air.
Aerial silks is a full-body workout disguised as fun. You’ll engage your core, upper body, and stabilizing muscles while improving mobility and coordination in ways traditional fitness classes often do not. No previous dance, gymnastics, or aerial experience is required, and all skills can be modified to match your comfort and fitness level.
